This one, for example, is full of quotes like, "This acquisition isn't about subscriber bases, though; it's about improving AT&T's reliability and preparing it for the 4G era of wireless communication." and, "No, today's acquisition is all about bolstering AT&T's network and beginning the process of repairing its reputation."

As far as I can tell, AT&T bought T-mobile for its infrastructure/resources. I can understand T-mobile customers being less than pleased, as some of the excess data from AT&T will be offloaded onto their less congested network, but I don't see how this can be anything but good for AT&T customers. Well, from a data standpoint, anyway. Higher prices are likely just around the corner, but that's another ball o'wax.
