If you want society to foot the bill you need to show what you are giving back. Besides most of that is pretty much BS anyways. Four years of going to parties and attending Harry Potter classes instead of actually learning something of value doesn't make you a more enlightened person. Try some hard manual labor, it builds character and won't cost me any money.

Also Pullman is a tool who seems to spend most of his time attacking other people’s belief system. If he attacked Islam like his attacks Catholicism all the people who think he is so cool would probably call him a bigot. And sorry his books really are not that good.
