Wouldn't one assume it also applies to snow?
One of my friends who lives on Long Island saw the above article in a local paper, so I was wondering about other people at RAFO- their opinions and whether or not they have a law specifically for snow.

If there's already a blanket law that would apply, I'd definitely prefer that we not add another one. Firstly because it's unnecessary, and, secondly, because it gives the police another tool they can use to stop someone unnecessarily. I'm not one of your average angry internet nerds who hate the police for no reason, but I'm not in favor of giving them any more power than they need to do their jobs, either. Give police the ability to ticket people who can't see where they're going, but Do NOT give them the ability to pull people over just because they've got some snow on their car. Abuse of power is extraordinarily rare, but, the fewer powers we give, the more rare it will become.
So I'd imagine, anyway.

If you're going to accept the legitimacy of traffic laws in the first place, this is okay.

It seems to me that the issue isn't the obstructed view at all.
