1. What is your opinion on the subject?
A) Awesome way to penalize someone for being stupid and/or lazy which could have deadly effects.

B) Another stupid nanny state law.
Hardly. To me nanny state laws are about preventing people from doing things that only hurt themselves...not about preventing people from doing things that have the real potential to hurt others. And most of the laws around what you are and aren't allowed to do while driving fall into that latter category.
C) Meh, I don't care- I live in a warm place that doesn't get snow much, if at all.

2. Does your state/country have a law about this already?
I don't think so, though we're one of the snowiest areas of the country.
3. If yes, what is the penalty?
I realize this may be a pot-stirring question, but I found it an appropriate question just after a big snowstorm.
