Humans can't will themselves to action, our brains aren't wired that way.
So I will merely say that a large part of the Christian faith focuses on exactly that - resisting the temptations of the flesh.
A large part of Christian Faith is not the resisting of the temptations of the flesh but is instead trying to form a communion with God. Christian Faith recognizes we are all innately broken and nothing we can do can fix that, only by coming to understand that we are innately broken can we establish a relationship with God and thus obtain the Kingdom of Heaven.
