Sounds kind of like Microsoft and the XBOX 360. Low grade solder used that causes a decent percentage of their product to be defective so they have to balance that out by having a very quick and easy way to replace the product or risk losing a lot of customers. I'd prefer just having a product that I didn't have to worry about breaking. Well, I guess it really doesn't matter to you. I'm assuming the one they sent you is an updated version that doesn't have the solder problem.
