Dunno about there, but here Goodwill has a store that specializes in computers. Joel Send a noteboard - 17/09/2009 04:22:59 PM
My office upgraded earlier this summer and since we've decided to keep the new systems, we have a couple of old ones to get rid of. They are eMacs, so an all in side system and are still in good condition.

I've had the systems wiped clean and the OS and Office suite have been reinstalled. I just need to get ride of them but Im not sure where to start. I want to donate them to an after school program or something.

Suggestions?

Most of the hardware has since been replaced and/or upgraded, but the computer I'm on, as well as its predecessor, came from there. My ethernet controller came from there for about $15. If there's something similar where you are (and if not you might try one of their larger busier main stores) I'm sure they'll be glad to have it, and someone who can't afford to shop Best Buy will no doubt be along to pick it up soon with equal gratitude.
