I have been very surprised that nobody has hurt one of them although I believe there have been some pretty close up screaming matches in the past. When my friend Ray died in Iraq about two hundred Freedom Riders showed up. It was quite a site, thank God for those men and women who help separate the families from those protesting idiots.
But wine was the great assassin of both tradition and propriety...
