30% Things that no one else really cares about
I have this one down.
I try to treat Facebook the way I treat this site - as a way to chat with people, share interests and ideas, etc., but it just doesn't work. Facebook is the reduction of human interaction to the level of vapid narcissism. Don't even get me started on what that makes Twitter.
I think it works better if you're interested in what your friends do on a daily basis. I don't get to see most of mine very often, so I hide the crap I don't like and skim the rest. I also like to see and share pictures. That's MY facebook.
In fairness, most of the wotmaniacs/RAFhOles on Facebook are not like this. It's the other ones that irritate me. I'm considering a scorched earth campaign that will make my "friends" probably hate me and defriend me. After all, no one has that many real friends.
That's more "tom," definitely. I "hide"* instead of de-friending. Result: I haven't damaged them, and I don't have them wondering how, oh how! we ever got disconnected. Facebook is the devil in suggesting friends.
*No RAFO people
I'm starting to really hate Facebook.

Is this because of the people who want Megan Fox to play Lanfear in the WoT movie...

The easy way around that is to simply take them off your friends list.

It does happen in real life, but not usually with my friends.

Yeah, in that case I would just hide them.

In that case, what is the point of having them as "friends"?
