Seriously, dumbest thing that I have ever seen you write. The poster said she could not "curl" up with an eBook. I asked her if she had ever even tried. Furthermore, you have no logical support for claiming that someone can be "unnaturally attuned" to anything. Just words out of your reactionary position.
As for killing "kill radio, theatre, opera, ballet and the like just because the television was created" - the eBook will not kill the book, the same way that the Gutenberg Press did not kill the written word. It is about a better medium to convey the same message. Technology evolves. Hopefully your position can too.
Unless you prefer using a typewriter instead of a computer. Or using a landline only instead of having a cell phone.

I thought about making a post, but it would be a poor version of this one. I agree completely. *NM*

I'd be shocked, except that I'm not sure why a HS needs a library in the first place.

Most high schools have libraries.

I'm not surprised, I've seen enough American movies and TV shows to realize that.

For colleges it's a very different story, imho.

You're betraying your lack of humanities (ha!) here.

Yes. No one writing directly from wikipedia should BE in college.

They still have physical classrooms, and they're whining about "outdated technology"? Pfft. *NM*

Yeah, you can actually. Have you tried curling up with an eBook reader?

Just because you're unnaturally attuned to "new" things doesn't mean everyone is.

I agree, but students going to a prep school probably don't have financial problems. *NM*
