I am not disagreeing with that ... but ...
Stewart has said in the past it is hard to be a politician... his gripe seems to be more with the media which screws up the incentives of being a politician, they don't gain anything for doing the right thing and they get points for doing the wrong thing and making "controversy"/"ratings."
