Imagine that you have to pull up a miner of 76kg from a hole 700 metres deep. How much work will you have to do? :D 1 point (pass value)

removing rock in a circle with a diameter of 60 cm for 700 metres will lead to what amount of work? (This one is probably two points, for pass with distinction, since it involves more complicated processes)

How long will it take for the miner who had both his wife and his mistress waiting for him to ask to be put back down into the hole (No points, but an opportunity to show excellence)

and one for pol/economic sci: What is a life worth? We're not willing to spend more than 100,000 per possibility of saved lives to build enough hospitals to keep people from dying. However, digging up miners cost a whole lot (I don't know how much), is it worth it due to political capital?
