Inflammatory Joint Disease is one of those diagnostic they give you when they don't know what it wrong with you.
Yup.
I have problems with my joints and have had it diagnosed as IJD by some doctors and others have to me it is the early stages of arthritis. Either way I treat it with an anti-inflammatory and pain pills, mostly ibuprofen. The weather affects it and so does usage. If I am using the joint a lot it doesn't normally hurt until I stop and the inflammation sets in. If I use it a whole lot it can start hurting while I am still using it then it will hurt for days. When it gets that bad I have to stop and ask myself if what I am doing is worth the pain I will have later.
:/ It just sounds like a horrible thing.
I really don't have any words of wisdom beyond don't let it stop you from doing what you need to do if you have a choice. I have never been one for accepting limits without some amount of fight, as far as can tell the damage is not permanent. Staying limber and strong seems to help. It really comes down to what your pain threshold is. The feet and the hands are the worst. It is hard to want to be up and about when every step hurts and my hands really complain if I abuse them by doing things like hammering nails all day long.
The pain's not so bad, it's more the stiffness and swelling that bother me. They prevent me from doing things because I cannot physically do them. Like I couldn't sign my name for the medication today because I couldn't hold the pen. My hands couldn't bend enough to do so. Annoying!

There's nothing wrong with it - it's good stuff - but fish oils contain much more DHA.
