It was just after breakfast and most of us were gathered in the television room. When the news broke that the World Trade Center had been hit, a couple nurses kept popping in and a few of the people were freaking out, a couple of them were in tears... I just sat in my chair and watched the television and the people around me, quietly observing. What was happening wasn't really registering with me, so I didn't really feel too much.
Now, though, I've re-read the ticker transcripts, watched some of the shows on the History channel and seen the movies United 93 and World Trade Center... The personal tragedies...the pain and sorrow, it strikes me now. I don't know what the people around me were crying about at the time, but I am sorry for what the people who were there/knew people who were there/et cetera suffered.
