(hah, get it, she'll be late)
Anyhoodle, no, she's late to everything. Which makes me late. I forget that some of my friends don't know what when I say I'll be there at a certain time, I really mean like 20 minutes later than that, sometimes they get mad.
When school would get out early, I would tell my mom it got out 30 minutes earlier than it really would, and she'd be there on time! That was cool. I wish I had done that at the beginning of the school year, only on those special days would I not be the only one waiting with the teacher giving me dirty looks because she couldn't leave until the kids could. One time I hid from the lady so she could go home and waited 20 minutes until mom came. I was in high school, so it's not like I'd wander into the street or anything.
It's really affected me, having to wait on her. I never had a car, so she'd drive me everywhere, which I do appreciate, I just resent waiting...making others wait on me. I am always early now. I leave 30 minutes to walk to class that's 10 minutes away. I hate being late.
My mom was a stay at home mom, she's a teacher now, I don't know how she deals with time, I don't live at home anymore, but I do know for a fact that when she was late picking me up, she wasn't working at a job which held her over or the traffic was bad, our town was small, or anything other than she left late. I know because thats how it was every day, I watched this happen. God it drove me crazy! And while I myself do not have this problem, I know that it is a real problem. No one is that late for 18 years every day just because they lost track of time. I don't know why, and I don't know how to help, but it is like a fat person saying "I can't stop eating"
Maybe you could try telling yourself you need to be somewhere 20 or 30 minutes earlier. Or turn all the clocks back. We stayed at a hotel one time where the clocks were like 10 minutes fast and holy shit we were on time for dinner reservations. It was really weird.

Hm. I have always been chronically 5-10 minutes late but my situation was similar. *edit*

You average getting to work more than an hour late?

I do agree with this. I have problems with tardiness, but on the scale of 5 minutes.
