to say that your driveway isn't considered "private". yes, anyone can just walk onto my driveway...that doesn't mean anyone is actually ALLOWED to. deliverymen, guests, etc... it is perfectly legal to keep any of these people from entering your driveway/lawn. Strangers just wandering across the lawn is TRESPASSING, even if it happens regularly. Just because a fence is not built on the property line doesn't mean it does not exist.
Precisely, and it is part of a growing class distinction.
