Wow, people don't share tables here. That would be so weird for me. I think if anyone sat at my table, I'd immediately ask them what they were doing. Cultural thing I guess.
Quite possibly. It would be unthinkable in my town in Norway, at least. As in it wouldn't even occur to people. You enter a café and survey the tables, and if there isn't a free one you leave. It may be different in the larger cities, I don't know. But it doesn't take long to get used to. It is a bit like the latin hugging and kissing on meeting someone. It takes longer to stop doing it than to start.
