The camp was originally for various political dissidents, I edited the comment to point that out figuring someone else would, sorry if it came off otherwise, my comment had to do with the start of atrocities against Jews, without the clarification someone could rightfully have pointed out that Dachau circa 1933 had very little to do with genocide.
