I've yet to work with an OS system that was perfect, so i guess just don't care as much. Vista does the job, it does it without creating problems for me and what annoyances it created for me I simply turned off. It is bulky, it does need to be streamlined, but I'm never overloading my computer with stuff anyways so it's never really affected me.
I just don't understand why people get so passionately angry about Vista.

Once I figured out what was different and began using the differences to my advantage I found XP to be annoyingly inefficient. I never had the "problems" that others seemed to have with Vista so I can't comment on them, but I find it far superior to XP.
It does require max RAM though, but I am not sure but I would imagine Windows 7 will require max RAM for the best efficiency as well. In truth, unless one is buying a notebook which is designed to run lean and mean all new Windows and Mac OS's are going to require a lot of RAM to maximize their use.
But wine was the great assassin of both tradition and propriety...
