And presuming you live anywhere near a large urban center, you may be better off searching for local classes in the language. I live about 45 minutes from this place, but if I wanted to learn, say Arabic, I would go the Tennessee Foreign Language Institute and pay a few hundred for a live person to teach me in live classes than to depend upon software to do so.
You might be able to find it cheaper in urban areas (I'm presuming you live in Southern California, based on that "Valley accent" comment?) such as LA to find someone to teach it to you for $50/week or so.
