So yesterday morning I had to film a church ceremony and about 20 minutes in the door opens and a middle aged guy comes in. I simply expected him to sit down, but he keeps walking down the aisle while everyone's singing, reaches the altar and throws a rolled newspaper on it rather grumpily. Then he walks back down the aisle and as he approaches my camera holds out his hand to block its view. Then leaves.
WTF?
The parson was pretty cool about it when he rose to speak again, called it an unexpected surprise. Afterwards he admitted that he had no clue why that happened either. An unhappy "costumer"? A grumpy 45 year old paper boy? Very odd.
I guess we were all just glad he carried a newspaper in and no bomb. Sad enough that we live in times where that's the first thing on your mind when someone does something entirely unexpected and inappropriate.
So, do any of you have similar stories? Where someone did something so entirely out of the blue and random that your heart missed a beat? Share!

You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling.

Well isn't it "entirely unexpected" because it hardly ever happens?

Contrary to what you hear in Europe, we don't see that kind of thing every day.

In America we burn people at the stake for disrupting church services, like decent civilized folk.
