Why would anyone buy a Kindle instead of an iPad? Tom Send a noteboard - 29/07/2010 04:22:17 PM
The iPad is essentially a reader, a mini-computer and a wordprocessor all in one. It is easy to use and very thin. It has color, video feeds, etc. I can replace a laptop with an iPad for a business meeting if I want to work on documents, and it's a lot more compact than a laptop. Plus, I can use it as a reader if I want to read books online.

I realize that it's currently "Apple only", but I'm sure a PC version of the iPad will come out (similar to what Droid did for iPhone). I think that will kill single-use readers like Kindle.
Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.

– Procopius
