Is there any reason that they might have done it on purpose?

A low sense of humor? Getting back at you for stealing the girl they wanted to get with? Some incredibly annoying thing that you do that drives them nuts?
Or is there a chance that the door wasn't quite closed and the dog pushed its way in and whoever found it there figured that it was your fault for not closing your door and that the mess wasn't their problem and you were just lucky that they let the dog out before it did something on your bed?
Why am I analyzing this? I don't know. That is a mystery as well.

Only the dog's owner would have an obligation to clean it up, not the other roommates. Except for u *NM*
