Check out androlib.com. It has good reviews for apps and is very helpful.

Also, if you're waiting a couple months, maybe check out Windows Phone 7. It looks like it might be a real winner. Engadget just did a very extensive review of it, and it looks very solid. It's overall look might put some people off, because it's very different from the kinda vanilla tile/icon way that everyone else is doing things, but others might like the "metro" style that is in place.
