Thanks! I am mostly worried about anti-american sentiment.


Buy a Canadian flag and stick it prominently on your person. It's what all the American backpackers do.


My students were always...tense with me at the first class...then I would go through and introduce my self and say that I was from Canada (and show them on the map)...then it was "Oh, you're not American??" and you could see the tension leave.

However, that was Saudi -- they REALLY don't like Americans there.
