While it strikes me that more women in the financial sector might have prevented the credit crunch, I loathe this kind of thing. The way to create a society that isn't racist or sexist is to not be racist or sexist. Affirmative action is being racist or sexist towards the people who didn't suffer prejudice before, as if two wrongs made a right.
