In this city it's generally better to buy than to rent.
My payment on my home equity loan for my house isn't even $300.00. I could rent the place for probably $900.00. Maybe even more - but then I'd have to pay that much or more for a decent place to live myself so I don't really gain anything by so doing.
The mortgage for the king of house I want in the area I want would run me something like $1200.00 a month even with a good down payment. I just don't have that kind of cash.
It's a wicked place to live though. Like living in a park.
