Yeah, I'm just worrying about it. I'm sure it will be fine, so many people have had it done. It's just the thought of my eyes being cut on. Ewwhhh...
I know, I understand. It'll be over very quickly though. Poof! Plus, a little-known side effect is the radar vision. I enjoy telling other people I can see their underwear
I'm not sure what you mean. The eye surgeon will give me Valium at the office but if I explained the situation to my doctor and that I am nervous that the Valium won't work and that I would rather take a Xanax he would probably prescribe me a non-refillable dose. Is that unusual in Ireland? I mean I couldn't demand it from him, he could tell me no. But, I have pretty good rapport with my doctor so he probably would do it.
It would be very unusual for a GP to give you anything before a procedure, because they have no idea what you will be given at the procedure. Also, if they give you two Xanax and you take the two Valium at the eye clinic, that's not good. They'll certainly fix you up after the fact but not before.
I'll probably check it out after the surgery. I guess I am just curious but yeah, I don't think it would be wise to watch it.
Nope
I have this whole schedule before and after surgery set up with different fake tears and some tear producing medicine. Plus I have checkups and may be on the medicine for like six months depending on how the exams go. Can't be any worse than dry contact lenses.
I had none of the above and worked out just fine Lots of saline eye drops and I was done.

So, I'm getting LASEK in a few weeks. Any feedback, suggestions would be appreciated.

Yeah, the muscles around the eye get worn and cannot make it change focus too much any longer
