Regardless of the reviews, that doesn't mean it was, one, all that authentic, and two, decent quality at all. And it could be that what you ordered was simply unappealing to you and there might have been other Korean Foods that suited you better.
Oh and if it was a buffet style? Definitely don't blame the type of food. I've NEVER met one of those that was actually what I'd call "Good" on a food quality basis.
