Actually both barely use the term 'family values' in their platforms

The documents tend to be about twenty pages long, the GOP has had the same two uses of family values - one in regard to judicial activism and the other in regard to a commitment to preserve traditional culture in American Somoa - for the last four platforms, '96, '00, '04, and '08
Alternatively the Dems did not have the term in their platform until '08, adding it in regard to changing culture and its effect on the workplace and labor. Al Gore himself though, was often presented as proof the Dems had 'family values' during the rockier parts of the Clinton presidency. Personally, I regard this accusation with great skepticism, nor when it comes to values do I particular expect people to live up to what they preach, being Christian I regard that as impossible anyway, one is supposed to try to do so. The accusation against Gore though isn't adultery, it's sexual harassment, which is something he and his party have decidedly tried to take center stage on. So, not family values anyway. Sexual harassment is not part of the dialog on traditional family values, except insofar as some claim those values might tend to encourage it, which I don't believe Al Gore has ever said. Were this matter simply about him having a mistress, it would be no big deal, just disappointing, it is not.

The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.

No. But they don't tend to make it a major part of their platform either.
