They do really well at fiber optics and often to better at RF microwave then EEs do. They are not working as physicist but they are getting paid well for a bachelors degree.



engineering firms wouldn't touch my degree because i didn't have any materials training or they said "we don't have any theoretical stuff we're doing for r&d right now". i even tried fermilab and they said i needed a master's degree to even have a chance.
