I don't know that we have reached that point but I also think time is not on our side right now. NK's biggest threat is its ability to threaten cities and that will only get worse as they develop more weapons systems. Their missile program looks like a joke now but so did ours until it wasn't. If it does come to war at least the ROK army is strong enough that they should only need our help beyond taking the border defenses which should keep China from getting to nervous about US troops on its borders.
Hopefully war can be avoided and should be if at all possible but I have very little faith that the situation will end well. If it does come to a full scale war I think it will be fairly quick but very bloody and intenerating the North will be a nightmare.
To be honest though I don’t escalating to war right now. Possible but I don’t think there is anyone on either side who really wants a war right now.
