I thought cognitive dissonance was something a little bit different; less like something that would permanently change your mind, and more like you would just be, well, undecided, I guess, or holding several positions at once, or, you know, uh, I don't really know what I'm talking about.

I should read more! This stuff is awesome. Talk to me about authors who aren't too dry and difficult!
