Preferential voting. Compulsory voting to make the result a lot more representative of the electorate as a whole. Have election day a Saturday so easier to vote and staff the voting booth.


Compulsory voting? We couldn't cope with all the voters this time with out making more people vote:P
I agree about the weekend - I'd go for making it a bank holiday myself though.

Which is what is used in Australia.

Makes the Lib Dems king-makers with their preferences in constituencies where they run third.

Proportional is too hard.


But it is a system I prefer.
