The first thing that pops into my head is the wotmania screen name Lupine Nocturnus. But your sig identifies you, so It'l be a decent transition. I have decided I won't change mine.
And your smiley is the cutest thing I've ever seen. With that smiley it doesn't matter of you call yourself "Horse's Ass". Really.
I saved the code for my chat couch, I saved a poem that a wotmaniac wrote about me. and I have lots of wonderful memories up here *taps head with finger*
I was in the chat room up until an hour before. It was awesome. I'm glad I was able to. People clinging to one another as the ship wass going down, so to speak.
Being part of the alpha test... once I saw what Ben had done with the place, I knew I'd be fine. I always trusted Ben. I had resolved to come even if the site had a different message board format, which would have upset me greatly. But I amaddicted committed to the community.
I am an admin, so I actually have to read every post here now. It's a little different having a sense of "work" to the whole thing. As long as I can still be playful I'll be ok.
I miss having the chat room. I really bonded with people in there. That's the only thing I miss.
RAFO change that pleases. The block quote thing took a bit of getting used to. I soemtimes forget to turn on the separation for survey replies, but otherwise it has grown on me.
When the alpha was blue, I switched to green so I could tell when I was logged in. Now I use blue.
I use arial.
A) On the left
I didn't know there was a mouseover at wotmania. Or rather, I always clicked the thing to drop it down.
I think less is more right now.
I love the open book!
Yes.
ROFL. no.
I don't remember. It was one of the classics I had to read in high school though. I don't remember of it was The Great Gatsby, or To Kill a Mockingbird. Otherwise when I was younger, I appreciated A Wrinkle in Time.
I don't have neighbors. I like it this way. The ones that live a mile away from us act like they live in a housing association. They transfered suburbia hell to the country. I dislike that. That doesn't mean we aren't neighborly towards them. I bring over fresh bread on occasion, homemade applesauce, and wave as I drive through. We offer to watch their cats when they go away but they never ask, thank god.

After the information-gathering, there is the usual miscellany, so feel free to skip ahead if you like.
1. What remnants of wotmania did you save? If you chose not to save anything, what was your thinking on the matter?
I saved the code for my chat couch, I saved a poem that a wotmaniac wrote about me. and I have lots of wonderful memories up here *taps head with finger*
2. Did you stick around for the closing?
I was in the chat room up until an hour before. It was awesome. I'm glad I was able to. People clinging to one another as the ship wass going down, so to speak.
3. How did you feel about the whole thing - and about the subsequent transition?
Being part of the alpha test... once I saw what Ben had done with the place, I knew I'd be fine. I always trusted Ben. I had resolved to come even if the site had a different message board format, which would have upset me greatly. But I am
4. Name changes are obvious, but are you intending to do anything differently in terms of site activity here? (Frequenting more boards, posting more thoughtfully [hahaha, I crack myself up]).
I am an admin, so I actually have to read every post here now. It's a little different having a sense of "work" to the whole thing. As long as I can still be playful I'll be ok.
5. Is there anything you miss about wotmania so far? Any RAFO-related change that really pleases you?
I miss having the chat room. I really bonded with people in there. That's the only thing I miss.
RAFO change that pleases. The block quote thing took a bit of getting used to. I soemtimes forget to turn on the separation for survey replies, but otherwise it has grown on me.
6. What's your pick for our collective identity? (Rafolites, Rafonauts...)
I like rafomaniacs. Dislike rafolites, am "meh" with rafonauts, and laugh at rafholes and rafostafarians. 7. What colors do you currently use?
When the alpha was blue, I switched to green so I could tell when I was logged in. Now I use blue.
9. What font do you use? (Did you know you can customize that? ) What fonts would you like added?
I use arial.
10. You prefer navigation bars that are:
A) On the left
11. Do you like the current set-up, where you have to click to see the options, or did you prefer the old wotmania version, where a mouse-over would cause the menus to drop down?
I didn't know there was a mouseover at wotmania. Or rather, I always clicked the thing to drop it down.
12. Do you like all of the icons? Would you like to see more graphics? If so, what kind?
I think less is more right now.
13. Do you like the current logo? If not, what would you like to see?
I love the open book!
15. Do you think it is possible for an established politician to undergo a major ideological shift? That is, a genuine one, not one for political gain.
Yes. I undergo ideological shifts based on new information and life experiences. I doubt it happens genuinely with politicians much, though.16. What is your favorite way to experience nostalgia?
reenacting it.17. Are you content with your given name & surname? If not, how come? What would you change it to if you could?
Yes.
18. Are you good with time management? If yes, any advice?
ROFL. no.
19. What was the first piece of genuine "literature" that you remember appreciating?
I don't remember. It was one of the classics I had to read in high school though. I don't remember of it was The Great Gatsby, or To Kill a Mockingbird. Otherwise when I was younger, I appreciated A Wrinkle in Time.
20. Are you on friendly terms with your neighbors? (Apartment neighbors count too.) If so, how did you get that way?
I don't have neighbors. I like it this way. The ones that live a mile away from us act like they live in a housing association. They transfered suburbia hell to the country. I dislike that. That doesn't mean we aren't neighborly towards them. I bring over fresh bread on occasion, homemade applesauce, and wave as I drive through. We offer to watch their cats when they go away but they never ask, thank god.
21. When you hang out with people, do you have the most fun on your own turf (in your apartment or home), at their place(s), or in a neutral spot, like a pub or a mall?
Neutral spot or their place. My place is the least desirable. I am too stressed about entertaining people to relax and have a good time. (This is not true for very close friends obviously.)22. If you could invite a foreign/distant friend to visit your city/town at any season or time of year, which would you pick as ideal?
autumn. apples, pumpkins, and changing leaves. Best food of the year, and best scenic views of the year.
