It will also be interesting to see who will pick the tab up on the costs of the new stadium as they have signed a long term contract there and either the NRL or News Corp may have to fork out ongoing cash for it.

Ultimately I think that League in Victoria is pretty much dead, with that the new TV rights deal will be reduced as the 2nd biggest city in the country will hardly be tuning in to watch it.

The ramifications of the decision could undermine the structure of the whole NRL competition if things go badly
