EDIT: Also Sanderson has said one of his future Mistborn novels take place in Space, so the people from different planents probably will meet each other.
I heard that he had a trilogy planned for far in the Mistborn world's future, but I hadn't heard anything about space. I guess If they had the technology it could play a part, but I don't remember Sanderson saying anything about it taking place in space. If I'm wrong give me a link where BS says otherwise, but I follow his blog and to a lesser degree his forums and don't remember anything about space in Mistborn.
I have heard that he is possibly going to have a book where all the characters, or at least the different worlds, all play a part. However, I have no evidence or quotes on this one so take it with a grain of salt.
/Sanderson- does anyone know the details of his overarching cosmology?

Sanderson wants to address the lack of technological innovation in most fantasy series.

I suspect someone could later write an academic paper on the Mormon influences on his writing
