I'm pretty sure the only nobel prize winning author I read was Marquez's 100 years of solitude. It was good, but I didn't really think it was on a level above the common malazan's, bakker's and songs of ice and fire. How are the other classics treating you?
they tend to stray away from the feelgood reading I usually do... but le clezio and grass are wonderful authors, not sure about pamuk, but it works, morrison just bores me to tears. those are the ones in the running at the moment.
