Yes. Lots and lots of British Medieval, Renaissance and Restoration literature

I have avoided Medieval literature like the plague before, and British Renaissance (well, apart from certain playwrights and other exceptions) got drowned out in my reading by the continent. And the same goes for the British Restoration literature. But I had to read some of it this year for my teaching, and I must say I am now very enthusiastic about all of it.
I also tried a modern crime thriller and a disney tv-to-book thingummy, and neither of those impressed me terribly (while I must say I would take the crime over Disney any day).

I was totally crushed that the Restoration Literature lecturer was on sabbatical in my year.

Tried the Long Price Quartet. Liked the first book, but didn't finish the second.
