Here is a review by Toril Moi of the new translation.

I have mentioned before (well, on wotmania, anyway) the tragic lack of a proper English translation of de Beauvoir's most famous book. It seems someone finally caved in and commissioned a second, and now this turns out to be bad too. It is as if someone really doesn't want English-speaking monoglots to get to grips with the cornerstone of much feminist thinking.

I suppose it will be a while before anyone commissions a third translation. Your best bet is probably to read it in French (although I think the Norwegian tranlsation is also fairly good ;)).
