On the one hand, I've branched out so much since I came to wotmania and discovered whole new worlds away from the epic fantasy genre. I don't know if our fop friend has done the same, but I do highly recommend it.
On the other hand, GRRM has written some amazing stuff. I wouldn't be ashamed to say he had written a favorite of mine.

Yeah, it's not exactly like saying your best read of the year so far is a Goodkind or a Newcombe, or that dire Hoffman book, in which case some sort of intervention may be warranted
