I always found this take on things to be interesting. I do buy an awful lot of second-hand books. Yet I find I am also very much in favour of supporting Good Things (hence buying good films, paying for good music &c). I don't know how many authors have this sort of arrangement, but I approve. Mostly because I love her book. It is beyond brilliant. As I have said. Over and over again.
