While it's great to have people reading literature from all different parts of the world, I'm not sure that splintering things anymore than this is going to be a good idea.
Maybe alternating between different countries would work - maybe we could do that with the OL Book Club.
I love that people are getting involved. It's great.
Maybe we can, as Greg says, do another series once the Russian one is done.
I've been planning for a couple of weeks now to do a series of commentaries/semi-reviews of Roberto Bolaño's work leading up to the March 9th US publication of his recently-discovered El Tercer Reich. That is taking place on the OF Blog. In my post yesterday, I was gauging whether or not there might be enough interest in such a thing for me to cross-post it here and see if any discussion ensues.
Some of the best discussions take place without a moderator guiding every step of the process. Regulate who posts what and when too often and spontaneity can be choked off. So I wouldn't worry about it too much; the readership can choose based on interest/time/money all on their own...and as is usually the case, count on 1/3 of those who say they'll participate actually participating in anything

Two book clubs is probably enough for now, considering our member count.

Tom and I have a year long plan. I don't have plans after that year is done.

I don't think Rebekah is saying you shouldn't go ahead and post your Bolaño discussions.
