Ok, so is it true Bella has a baby that like, breaks her back or something? :confused: This more than anything is what has made me say no to trying to read it, although I have heard that it's enjoyable for a fluff read. (Also, I'm not much into urban fantasy.)

but as far as pro-life propaganda goes, a mother who refuses to abort even when carrying the baby breaks several of her ribs and eventually her spine (though at that point they're already busy with their "emergency c-section";) is indeed going pretty far. Of course, turning her into a vampire then magically fixes her spine and everything else, so that Meyer can still have her syrupy fairy tale ending, complete with half-vampire but perfect baby. :P I suppose having her in a wheelchair instead would've been more interesting to the plot and themes of the series, but yeah, Twilight has lots of missed opportunities like that. :P
