In particular, anyone else read his 2666, which won all sorts of awards in late 2008-early 2009 for its English translation. I'm asking this only because I'm in the middle of a huge Bolaño re-read/essay project (just finished his short novels, with two exceptions - each to arrive in the next week or so, with the short fiction for this weekend and early part of the week) that's preparing me to read/review his recently-unearthed and just-published El Tercer Reich when it comes out in the US on March 9.

I'm going to be writing about 2-3 posts in the coming weeks on Bolaño's poetry, short fiction, and short novels, as well as considering writing separate pieces on The Savage Detectives and 2666 the last two Sundays of February. Anyone who's read his work willing to share their thoughts on those works if/when I post about them?

I'm not seeking anything like a formal discussion; obviously, most people won't have time to read 1100+ pages in less than two weeks for a formal discussion. What I'm curious about is if any have previously read his work and if not, who would be interested in reading a thematic piece that doesn't review the works as much as it would explore certain elements raised within the novel(s). Anyone curious about that, even if they haven't read any of his works?
