What did you think of Harkaway?
I enjoyed it, for the most part. Reading reviews, I saw many complaints about the tangents, but I thought they were actually pretty fun. I liked the language, and I liked the story.
I am always confused about those people. Most of the tangents made sense in retrospect, I felt.
This is true. And they were entertaining. But I can see how people would be put off by the amount of detail.
Some parts didn't really seem to fit together at points, but overall very good.
Which parts do you mean?
You know, that's a good question. I think mostly the logistics of putting together what came before the "twist" after it was revealed. I know that's probably not entirely supposed to match up, but it was still tricky. There were parts I wanted to go over again, but it was due back at the library.
Because it was a library book, I also did not realize until I read the reviews that the dust jacket was fuzzy. I was kind of disappointed I missed out.
And I want my own personal pirate monk.
Oh, me too! With a rolls royce.
Naturally.

Only if you don't count East and West Germany's medals as German medals. *NM*

I rather enjoy the Winter Olympics. The Summer Olympics are worthless shit, for the most part.

This just strengthens the stereotype that you have to be a nerdish bookworm to enjoy literature...
