A boy might well like Louis L'Amour. Having said that, I'm a girl and I loved them.

I thought I was the only girl I knew who'd ever read any.:D
I actually had a collection at one point. Shouldn't have given it up.

I have my Dad's :D I had mono and then whooping cough when I was nine, and almost died of boredom in quarantine (and mono, but that's another story...) until Dad produced eighteen Louis L'Amour in desperation :D I raced through them and loved every second.
