is a book that falls squarely in the realm of English Romance. It's also one of the few romance books I like because it succeeds, even while hitting every single cliche, to have interesting characters with motivations and thoughts *besides* screwing each other. Honestly, the cover page is what drew me to it in the first place.

Anything by Beatrice Small will fall squarely into the genre of Romantica but usually takes place in a fantasy or medieval setting so you can pretend it's that sort of book, if you like. Someone sent me a copy of "The Dragonlord's daughters" (categorized as a historical romance) for a birthday and I found it a good balance between plot and soft porn.

To those I would also add:

"The Sharing Knife" by Lois Mcmaster Bujold - Romantic Fantasy rather than Fantasy Romance

and

"Dexta" by C. J. Ryan - sexy sci-fi.
