hey! I've read both books more times than I've watched star wars (uhm...or at least 14 times each) can I participate too? I loved magician (by the way which will we be discussing? apprentice or master? and are silverthorn and a darkness at sethanon included in the discussion?)
It will just be Magician. That's long enough. And it will be the whole book, which is how it was originally published. So both Apprentice and Master.
oohhh..i got it in paperback in two volumes ok, no problem, I still have read both parts about 14 times! (still, I must say my fav of those is a darkness, thus, i've sort of skipped re-reading the previous 3 a few times and read the last about 20 times XD )

No, but I don't have a lot of time for reading. So I have to make choices.

I could go for reading Feist again. It has been so many years since my husband got me to try it.

Just to be clear, does Magician refer to vol 1 or both?

Well, to be accurate, MAGICIAN is only really 1 book. It was split into two volumes for a printing.

I bought it as a single volume back in 96, I believe.

Well, the one I have in two volumes has the same "preferred edition" label, too.

That refers to the content... Feist put out a "director's cut"

That is the version I read. At the time I couldn't imagine what they would have edited out of it

As far as I know it was oridanally published as a single volume hardback

I'd be more interested in seeing us try to inform Dumas of his selection. *NM*

I have no interest in the first choice but will be pulling Dumas off the shelf shortly.
