Re: If done well, it's interesting. Phelix Send a noteboard - 25/12/2009 09:07:27 AM
To start off thanks for those who replied to my earlier message before. I want to run another concept by you all.

The "hero" of the story starts out typically, but goes from hero to anti-hero to being the villain that the world originally perceived. How does that go for you all?

And the perceived villain goes from being the villain to the unexpected hero.

Though, if it's done poorly, it's irritating. The transition has to both make sense, and be exciting. If the hero goes evil for no reason other than plot convenience, it's bad. Very bad. Also, if it makes sense, but is telegraphed so thoroughly that we know it's going to happen and there's no shock when it finally does, that's also bad... very bad.

Exciting? More emotional of a scene, I'll nb the outline of it to you if you'd like

Yes, exciting. :D It has to cause a reaction. If I don't care that my hero is becoming a villain, or that my villain suddenly reveals his motivations, making it clear he was a hero all along... then it's no good.

I do enjoy reviewing and editing... so if you want a reader, feel free to shoot your outline or rough drafts my way. ;)
I was Phelix on wotmania, I will always be Phelix in the "real" world, and now I am Phelix on RAFO.

You will make all kinds of mistakes; but as long as you are generous and true and also fierce you cannot hurt the world or even seriously distress her.- Churchill
